With Gregory Siff’s “Matter of Time”, Time Flies at Gallery Brown
A quick reminder: Gallery Brown opens Gregory Siff’s solo exhibit, Matter of Time, this weekend to much fanfare. An opening reception takes place on Saturday, October 20 from 6-10 PM.
The Art Reserve has long supported Siff’s endeavors, and Matter of Time promises to be his most daring yet.
Known for work that blurs boundaries (between Abstract Expressionism, Pop Art, and street art, between reality and dreamscape, between humor and the deeply insightful), Siff’s career has spanned two coasts, countless collaborations, and recently, an impressive series of solo shows in Los Angeles. His first, G, at LA Fonderie in Los Angeles and second, There & Back, received widespread acclaim.
In Matter of Time, we encounter innovative work that offers a thought-provoking exploration of Siff’s diverse interests, which run the gamut from idolatry to kingship to memory and heart. The exhibit includes new paintings, works on paper, and sculpture.
