MOCA Launches Art in the Streets
Join MOCA director Jeffrey Deitch and the Board of the MOCA Contemporaries March 19, 2011 for the launch of Art in the Streets. This will be the first major U.S. survey of graffiti and street art. The exhibition will trace the development of graffiti and street art from the 1970s to the global movement it has become today.
Celebrate with fellow MOCA Contemporaries and street art enthusiasts at the psychedelic studio of acclaimed artist Kenny Scharf. The event is being sponsored by Havaianas, who will be unveiling their limited edition summer flip flops inspired by renowned Brazillian street artists, Finók, Chivitz, and Minhau. Food and drinks will be served. Tickets are $30 in which all proceeds benefit MOCA and Art in the Streets.
