Garry Winogrand at SFMOMA March 9th – June 2nd
Garry Winogrand photographed any and everything he found interesting. His images are thoughtful, humorous, ironic and a celebration of what could have been just another fleeting moment. At the time of his sudden death in 1984, at the age of 56, thousands of rolls of film were discovered as a final testament to his dedication to recording it all. From March 9th – June 2nd SFMOMA will present 100 of these never before exhibited photographs in a long overdue retrospective of Winogrand’s photographic legacy.
